Markus P.J. Fromherz, Chief Innovation Officer, Healthcare, Xerox/PARC, is Chief Innovation Officer, Healthcare, at Xerox, responsible for strategy and innovation across the payer, provider, government, and employer healthcare businesses in Xerox Services. Until 2010, Markus was a Vice President at the Palo Alto Research Center, where he directed PARC's Intelligent Systems Laboratory. Previously, Markus was a Principal Engineer at PARC, where he has led and contributed to research and development of intelligent embedded software. He has published and spoken internationally and has more than 40 issued and pending patents. Markus has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and a M.S. in Computer Science from ETH Zurich.

Gaurav Tewari, Executive Director, SAP Ventures, is an Executive Director at SAP Ventures where he focuses on growth and later-stage investments within Software/SaaS, Internet, Digital Media, Mobile, and Technology-Enabled Services. Prior to SAP Ventures, Gaurav was a Principal of Boston-based Highland Capital Partners leading early and growth-stage investments, and has held numerous board seats.  Previously, Gaurav was a Corporate Strategy executive at Microsoft Corporation and was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.  He started his career in engineering, operations, and product management roles at Microsoft and IBM Research.  Gaurav received his MBA from the Wharton School and holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  Gaurav is a co-inventor on 9 issued US technology patents.

Royce Uehara
, former VP at CHMB  and Director of Clinical Information Systems at HealthCare Partners, is now an independent consultant assisting healthcare organizations utilize technology to increase operational effectiveness.  He has served as the VP, Information Services for CHMB where he lead 4 major application upgrades and worked closely with Scripps Health on a variety of the EHR related projects (including a BYOD tablet extension to their EHR).  He also served as Director of Clinical Information Systems for HealthCare Partners.  He directed the implementation and upgrade of their EHR and also was responsible for various innovation initiatives (use of social media,  portals, kiosks).  Mr. Uehara earlier career including working in Ernst & Young’s Health care consulting practices where he staffed and/or managed various information systems strategic plans, systems selection, and implementations.

Dr. Leonard Goldschmidt, MD, PhD, former Medical Director Telehealth and Medical Informatics, VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Veteran Affairs (VA), has been involved in developing projects in Telehealth and Medical Informatics with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the largest integrated health care system in the United States. These activities have included telehealth mediated care of patients with spinal cord injury, integration of images within the computerized medical record, triage of selected medical conditions and providing patient health education using health kiosks, as well as remote screening for diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He received his medical training at Case Western Reserve University and his Ophthalmology training at the Univ. of California, San Francisco. He directs the Eye Clinic at the Livermore, California division of the Department of Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System and has a clinical faculty appointment at Stanford Univ. Medical School

Nandini Tandon, Ph.D., Board Member, El Camino Hospital, is currently focused on investment in Healthcare in the USA and emerging markets. She is a Silicon Valley based VC with an exceptional investment track record spanning decade plus with ten exits, 8 M&A by likes of Pfizer, Amgen, General Electric and 2 exiting via IPO route.  Nandini was Managing Director with MDS/Lumira Capital with 1.2 B USD under management, Partner with RBC Capital Partners, and has strong operational background with multiple executive positions at Zyomyx, Hyseq, Chiron and Glaxo. A White House Intern, she has a Ph.D. in biochemistry, Phi Lambda Upsilon from Duke University, North Carolina and B.A. cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Hollins University, Virginia..
