Series A Pitch –The 30 minute Mentor
May 22, 2014 | 2550 Hanover Street, Palo Alto
Event Sponsor: Pillsbury Law

The Series A pitching event is a great opportunity for young companies seeking Series A funding to present their business to a panel of highly regarded VC’s. Typically, a company looking for such funding would have made some progress in terms of market acceptance of their products or services. They also would have a team in place, perhaps received an angel round or two and have some revenues or beta customers. If the company is developing a technologically advanced product that requires significant cash infusion, then the company should have at least demonstrated a prototype and a potential for market acceptance. The company focus can be either in Hardware, Software or Services. Excluded are companies focused on Semiconductors and Pharmaceuticals.

The Event is structured as follows: (a) A pitch of 10 minutes max, with 7-10 slides including any demo which the company may want to show. (b) 15 mins of Q&A by the panel. (c) 5 minutes of non-rebuttal comments by panel. Presenters will immediately know if any of the VC’s on the panel would like to have a one-on-one meeting with the team.

Potential PRESENTERS will need to fill out a PRESENTERS’ Questionnaire, which will be e-mailed to them after registration. Due to time constraints, only the top 5 pitchers will be selected. Registrants not selected to pitch will have their fees refunded.

The Pricing is $150 for each company that wants to pitch; each company can bring up to 4 members of their team. $25 per person if he/she just want to attend the event.

Our lively panel discussion and Q&A will also provide critical insight into what it takes to raise capital today.
