Systems and Services SIG Clean Energy and Technologies June 14, 2005 SPONSOR: HellerEhrman LLP
—————————————————————————————
Interest in clean energy systems and services have been on the rise lately, with rising oil costs, the enactment of the Kyoto Protocol around the world, concerns about the US's energy infrastructure, and the continuing development and maturation of alternative energy technologies. Many venture capital investors who have typically focused primarily on IT and telecom are now starting to actively target investments in the clean energy industry. In this panel, experienced clean energy investors and experts will reflect on their early lessons learned: What makes clean energy investing different from other technology investing, in terms of investment strategies, key success factors, and winning approaches; and what areas look the most promising for venture-type growth.
