The panel will discuss the challenges and issues private venture backed companies face when obtaining directors and officers insurance in the current environment. The panel will also cover the practical steps
companies and their officers and directors can take to assure that they are effective purchasers of D&O insurance, pointing out the pitfalls that should be avoided. Finally, the panel will discuss issues that arise when a claim is tendered under the D&O policy, and give practical guidance to the interplay between company indemnification and insurance proceeds as they relate to litigation defense costs and damage claims.
