The Entrepreneurs Gathering Entrepreneurs and Investors Only Funding Realities July 12, 2005

VC TaskForce and TEN [The Enterprise Network] are pleased to present: The Entrepreneurs Gathering Every Second Tuesday
Please join us for a very special evening event geared solely for Investors and Entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneurs Gathering will be an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs to network with investors and other CXOs, present their company & idea, and hear first-hand what it takes to raise early-stage capital in 2005.
If you are an entrepreneur in a Bay Area startup and currently seeking capital, come prepared with your best 10- to 20-second elevator pitch. In three sentences or less, be able to tell:
- Who you are and what you do
- Your competitive advantage
- How much you are looking to raise
We will go around the room and allow select entrepreneurs to take the microphone. Time limits will be strictly enforced!
Immediately following, a panel of eight top VC and Angel investors will discuss critical questions such as:
- What does it take to raise a seed or series A round in 2005?
- Do we need customers? Do we need revenue? Do we need profitability?
- Which sectors are hot, and which are over-funded?
Our esteemed panel: Alex Komoroske, Partner, Honda VC unit Colin Wiel, Chapter President, SF Keiretsu Forum Jeff Karras, Principal, Levensohn Venture Partners Jon Staenberg, Partner, Rustic Canyon Partners Esther G. Lee, Senior Associate, Apax Partners Inc. Scott Irwin, General Partner, El Dorado Ventures
Finally, we will provide time for additional networking and the exchange of business cards and executive summaries over pizza and soft drinks.
Space is limited. Attendance will be reserved for investors and entrepreneurs only.
When: July 12, 2005 6-8 pm (additional events to be held the second Tuesday of each month)
Where: The Enterprise Network, 2953 Bunker Hill Lane, Suite 400, Santa Clara, CA 95054 Cost: $25 includes pizza and soft drinks exclusively Please register through the following link: http://www.acteva.com/booking.cfm?bevaid=87857 Fees are non-refundable.
