Event Sponsor: Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham
VC TaskForce continues "The Boardroom" series, an innovative program on Boards of Directors, with a program on the role of boards in successful mergers and acquisitions. Participants will serve on a mock board of directors which must balance diverse shareholder interests, fiduciary duty, and risk mitigation in an M&A scenario. M&A expert Tricia Salinero with Newforth Partners, Deb Ludewig with K&LNG and Jean Fuller with Fuller Coaching will set the stage on how boards can contribute to driving successful transactions and guide the mock boards through the case discussions. The evening will begin with a discussion of the current landscape for M&A. "The Boardroom" program has been developed by two high tech corporate governance advisors: Deborah Ludewig, Partner, Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham and Jean Fuller, Founder, Fuller Coaching, with special guest speaker for this session Tricia Salinero, Managing Partner, Newforth Partners LLC. The program uses a case-study approach to simulate real life boardroom scenarios. Through well-crafted cases, we can re-live actual boardroom situations in private and public high-tech companies and learn from others' mistakes. It's a "Flight Simulator" for boardroom training - no seatbelts required. Date: September 28, 2006 Time: 6 p.m. for informal networking and on-site registration, if available.
