Carl Hewitt is an emeritus professor from MIT where he was on the faculty for three decades in Computer Science. His doctoral work involved designing Planner, the first programming language based on plans, assertions, and goals. Subsequently Carl worked on developing the Actor model of concurrent computation. Most recently, he developed Direct Logic, which is an unstratified reflective paraconsistent logic. Cynthia Kocialski has extensive experience in the Internet, digital video, and communications as entrepreneur and technologist.
