The renewed interest in wireless Location Aware Applications and the convergence of mobile and the internet has fueled a surge in M&A in the space in 2007. These activities are enabling the acquiring companies to offer comprehensive solutions and are dramatically changing the competitive landscape. M&A agreements are not an end in themselves -- there are challenges during and after. In this session, we expect to build a deeper understanding of the challenges involved in completing M&A transactions and the different organizational structures used to absorb these acquired entities. We also look into the impact of these mergers on the stand-alone small companies and prognosticate on what is next.
