New Frontiers in Mobile Gaming - The Next Billion Dollar Opportunities
March 27, 2012 | 6:00-8:30 PM | Two Palo Alto Square | Palo Alto
Event Sponsor: Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP
Come join leading corporate investors and VCs, gaming experts, entrepreneurs and more for a lively discussion on the latest trends in mobility and gaming. We'll cover how this rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar ($B) global market opportunity is evolving and where the opportunities lie. You will have a forum to interact with individuals/companies and initiate strategic relationships with corporate venture capital and strategic partners.
Some topics of discussion:
- What makes a successful game - where does the next "Angry Birds", "Farmville" or "World of Warcraft" lie?
- Where are the investments going?
- Where are the opportunities now and in the future, domestically and internationally?
VC Taskforce's Corporate Venture Capital Special Interest Group has formed a panel of some of the leading mobile and gaming corporate VCs and executives to address some of these issues and provide insight to early stage/growing companies and venture capital investors.
The goal of the VC Taskforce Corporate Venture Capital SIG is to foster Corporate Venture Capital and Strategic Partnerships. Many of Silicon Valley's most successful companies have capitalized on their relationships with strategic partners and investors, taking advantage of key customer relationships and sharing development costs for new products. In addition, leveraging corporate strategic investors/partners can help accelerate a young company's momentum in a rapidly evolving sector.
